American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification

The American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification class is for those interested in becoming lifeguard certified.  The Lifeguard course provides participants with the basic knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over.   American Red Cross Blended Learning Course is a combination of online classes and in-person training.  Once registered you will be contacted with instructions for accessing the online portion of the class, which takes approximately 8 hours to complete.  Online training must be completed prior to the in-person sessions.  Upon successful completion of the online course and in-person training, you will receive your certification.  Participants must be 15 years of age to participate.  Once registered instructions for registering and access to online training will be emailed to you.

American Red Cross WSI (Water Safety Instructor)

This certification is recognized throughout the aquatics industry for those interested in teaching swimming lessons.  This class consists of online training and in-water participation.  All participants will receive training manuals, new teaching techniques, and the knowledge to provide all levels of the Red Cross Swim Lessons.  The class is taught by a certified Red Cross Water Instructor Trainer.  Upon successful completion of the online course and in-water training, you will receive your certification.  All online content must be completed prior to the onsite sessions.  Participants must be 16 yrs. of age by the end of the course.   Once participants have registered for the course you will receive an email with instructions on how to register and access your online training.
